What You Will Do

The Engine Design & Systems Integration (EDSI) group at Pratt & Whitney is currently looking for a motivated Intern in Propulsion System Analysis (PSA) to join our team in support of commercial and military small Turbo Jets (TJ) and Auxiliary Power Units (APU). In EDSI-Mil APU & TJ, we are responsible for the development of system level and component level designs in support of various small engine programs.

As a Propulsion System Analysis Intern, you will participate in the execution of ongoing design & analysis efforts across the military and commercial APU & TJ product line. This performance analysis activity spans all phases of the engineering life cycle, including: development, qualification, production, sustainment, and engineering changes.

Qualifications You Must Have 

• Enrolled in a degree program in Mechanical, Aerospace, Systems Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 3.0 Cumulative GPA

Qualifications We Prefer

• Experience with MS Office Suite – Excel, Power Point, Word.
• Experience with gas turbine engine operation and performance.
• Experience with coding languages such as Python, MATLAB, NPSS or equivalent

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
