Job Description

The Water Business Line of AECOM is actively seeking a highly talented Senior Water/Wastewater Engineer.  The ideal candidate will have experience with the design of municipal conveyance, pumping system, and water/wastewater treatment plant projects.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Serves as a project engineer on municipal water and wastewater infrastructure projects including water pipelines, sewage collection systems, pump stations, storage tanks, water treatment systems, wastewater treatment systems, etc.
• Leading the preparation of plans, specifications, cost estimates, technical reports, and other project documents.
• Overseeing construction phase engineering services.
• Participates in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables.
• Performs quality control review of design calculations or drawings.
• Provides input to the development of engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements.
• Participating in professional societies relevant to the industry.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

• BA/BS in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
• Six (6) years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
• Professional Engineering (PE) license in Florida or ability to obtain reciprocity within six (6) months of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• Experience and familiarity with the following programs: ArcGIS, AutoCAD, REVIT, MicroStation, SWMM, and/or Storm/Sewer/WaterCAD.
• Candidates must have proven interpersonal skills, including client interaction, public speaking, and persuasive ability; strong project financial management along with ability to lead diverse, multi-disciplined teams.
