The Technical Operations Trainer is a senior individual contributor responsible for building technical capability across the organization. You will combine deep technical knowledge with instructional expertise to own major training initiatives within the business line. This role requires the drive to rapidly learn new systems and translate complex technical concepts into scalable learning solutions that accelerate workforce readiness

Key Responsibilities
Training Program Development & Delivery
  • End-to-End Training Frameworks: Design comprehensive training frameworks and curricula that span from onboarding through advanced technical proficiency for Tech Ops engineers
  • Curriculum Design: Translate complex systems into scalable learning artifacts including runbooks, SOPs, work instructions, and troubleshooting guides
  • Training Delivery: Conduct hands-on technical training across diverse products and systems, adapting instructional methods to learner needs and operational contexts
  • Proficiency Standards: Set training priorities, proficiency thresholds, and certification standards that ensure operational readiness
Technical Mastery & Continuous Learning
  • Rapid System Acquisition: Demonstrate the drive and capability to quickly learn new products and systems, developing sufficient expertise to effectively train others
  • Deep Technical Knowledge: Maintain expertise across hardware, software, networking, and operational procedures to deliver credible, field-informed training
  • Subject Matter Expertise: Serve as a technical resource for training-related questions, bridging gaps between engineering knowledge and operational application
  • Continuous Content Updates: Stay up to date of any product changes, field insights, and emerging technologies to ensure training remains current and relevant
Knowledge Management & Documentation
  • Documentation Leadership: Produce and maintain clear, well-structured technical documentation, training materials, and reference guides
  • Knowledge Architecture: Design knowledge management systems that capture institutional knowledge and prevent single points of failure
  • Standards Development: Establish documentation standards and training artifacts that are adopted across teams and programs
  • Lessons Integration: Incorporate real-time field insights and After Action Reviews into training updates to ensure content reflects operational realities
Gap Analysis & Process Improvement
  • Capability Assessment: Identify systemic capability gaps across the workforce and design training solutions that scale with new products and processes
  • Data-Driven Training: Conduct gap analyses to develop targeted, data-driven training plans that address specific skill deficiencies
  • Training Metrics: Track and measure workforce readiness and performance uplift to demonstrate training program effectiveness
  • Process Innovation: Refine training frameworks and delivery methods for scalable, repeatable success across diverse learner populations
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Influence
  • SME Partnership: Collaborate with other subject matter experts, engineering teams, and sustainment engineers to develop effective training content
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Work with Engineers, Deployment Ops, and Mission Ops to align training programs with operational priorities
  • Mentorship & Development: Mentor Tech Ops engineers on technical concepts, troubleshooting approaches, and operational best practices
  • Field Integration: Incorporate real time field insights from deployments, demos, and T&E events into training updates; provide onsite support when
