Job Description
 

Gilead's mission is to discover, develop, and deliver therapies that will improve the lives of patients with life-threatening illnesses worldwide.  As a Data & AI Platform Lead Integration Architect, you are responsible for the planning, coordination, development, and supervision of all activities related to the integration of software components, and third-party solutions to meet the business requirements of the Gilead Data and AI platform. The integration needs are primarily focused on connecting various cloud-based software components to deliver seamless user experience. This individual is also responsible for developing and maintaining an application integration architecture blueprint for the platform and leading the software delivery efforts to realize the architecture.

Responsibilities:

• Develop integration, API standards and patterns required to develop the self-serve capabilities for Gilead’s Data Mesh and Data & AI platform capabilities

• Develop and maintain the solution design for various integrations

• Oversee critical steps within the Software Development Life Cycle components that impact platform-wide development

• Lead an engineering team to realize the architecture to deliver capabilities

• Provide expert advice to project teams on use of integration technology, data architecture and modeling, system architecture including integration best practices

• Provide oversight through creation and review of of project work including detailed technical specifications and application code

• Manage internal resources as well as augmented or externally sourced team members

• Oversee development and support of front-end and back-end processes related to the Data and AI platform

• Assist with incident response, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and problem resolution

• Communicate project status to various levels of management

• Partner with leaders of other disciplines to ensure proposed solutions align with information, technology, infrastructure, business and security architectures

• Occasional regional travel
