Within the Neuromodulation portfolio, the Targeted Drug Delivery (TDD) therapy sits at the critical intersection of medical device and pharma.  As Global Senior Product Manager – Targeted Drug Delivery on the Downstream Marketing team, you will be the product champion and product marketing lead for our worldwide business, working closely with marketing partners in regions globally.  Managing the TDD implantable drug pump system offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the growth of a high-impact combination product that serves as a simple, safe and effective alternative to oral opioids for people around the world living with chronic pain and cancer-related pain, and that stabilizes those living with severe spasticity.  This is a high visibility role that requires strong product marketing experience, effective cross-functional engagement, creative brand management, and comprehensive business execution. 

TDD is a powerhouse therapy poised for growth and ready for an infusion of creativity and marketing finesse.  The TDD team is propelled by a culture of bold decisions, bias towards action, collaboration, and putting patients first.  The ideal candidate will have product management and marketing experience, will be both data driven and creative, and will have experience in a highly regulated, technical environment.  Candidates should demonstrate leadership, initiative, learning agility, and a positive attitude. Experience with pharmaceuticals or combination drug/device products is a bonus.

Responsibilities may include the following, and other duties may be assigned:

Leadership Opportunities:

  • Serve as TDD subject matter expert and global product marketing leader

  • Manage TDD product marketing budget and influence other adjacent areas of spend

  • Lead cross-functional TDD product decisions with partners in Sales, Operations, Medical Education, Clinical, Health Economics, Field Training etc.

  • Travel requirement: up to 25%

Product Marketing Management

  • Contribute to annual TDD product marketing plan and lead workstreams including claims/messaging/evidence dissemination, competitive strategy, promotional tactics, marketing campaigns, marketing channel utilization, and marketing metrics

  • Own all TDD product-related assets including new asset creation, existing asset management, and asset utilization plans

  • Lead cross-functional marketing content development to drive alignment across channels and regions (e.g., marketing campaigns, academic society messaging, sales enablement tools, digital/social platforms etc.)

Brand Strategy Development:

  • Lead development and execution of a comprehensive brand strategy and targeted marketing messages that align with TDD business goals and objectives

  • Identify TDD market trends, competitive dynamics, and customer insights to inform brand strategy, positioning, and messaging

Product-level Business Operations:

  • Serve as TDD product marketing representative to the Neuromodulation Integrated Business Planning process

  • Plan US product demand based on market analysis and business strategy; oversee US supply with supply planning and field operations teams

  • Manage global new product introductions and legacy product phase-outs

Customer Engagement & Insights:

  • Form strong relationships with KOLs, customers, and sales team to inform marketing needs and insights

  • Oversee TDD product marketing at medical society meetings and Medtronic medical education events

Sales Support & Training:

  • Enable the field organization with materials and tools that establish Medtronic as the partner of choice, drive TDD sales, and increase adoption of TDD
