About Construction Management - AECOM Tishman
Since 1898, AECOM Tishman has managed the construction of some of the world’s most iconic buildings. We employ a diversified preconstruction and construction management staff of structural, mechanical, electrical, and civil engineers; architects; technology specialists; scheduling and cost control personnel; and construction estimators and accountants. Job Description
AECOM/Tishman has an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Construction Project Manager with experience in Electrical/Mechanical interiors to support our ongoing work for a large technology client in Orangeburg, NY.
- Under moderate supervision assists the Project Management team with management administration on a moderate size and scope project, or a portion of a large size and scope project, following set guidelines for completion of tasks.
- Employee receives moderate to limited supervision working from objectives set by supervisor. Employee organizes and carries out most assignments in accordance with standard practices, instructions, or previous training. Employee handles some unusual situations independently.
- May interact with Superintendents to address project questions/issues.
- Assists with and monitors change orders.
- May assist with regulatory compliance and financial reporting.
- Review project costs and scheduling to ensure completion of project within budget and in conformance with contract.
- Work with document control systems, project management systems and other software or databases to keep information flow up-to-date and accurate.
- Attend meetings and report on project tasks as needed.
- May provide technical direction and guidance to subordinate managers, enforces company and project policies.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirement:
- BA/BS Engineering or relevant curriculum and 2 years of electrical/mechanical experience in project management or AA/AS and 4 years of relevant experience or HS/GED and 6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
Preferred Requirements:
- Experience in the field of electrical/mechanical interiors construction.
- Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering strongly preferred.
- Assistant Project Management experience.
- Ability/experience in managing subcontracted trades.
- Construction experience in critical environments.
- Experience with construction documentation such as RFI's, change order management, etc.
- Microsoft Office Suite proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
- Ability to work independently.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Prior experience working for a large GC.
- Offered rate of compensation New York will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The hourly range for this position is $36.70-$67.88/Hourly.
