About the role:
The core objective of this role is to develop strategic partnerships with key opinion leaders to generate and disseminate clinical evidence and education to ultimately improve evidence-based clinical practices and patient outcomes in interventional cardiology and structural heart valve therapies in the Midwest region.
Your responsibilities will include:
- KOL Engagement - Set strategy to partner with key opinion leaders in structural heart and interventional cardiology on scientific and educational objectives including:
- Identification and support of physician faculty for educational programs (e.g., symposia)
- Ensuring that the content and format of US medical symposium/congress presentations are accurate and strategically focused
- Advance scientific and educational objectives with appreciation of commercial landscape.
- Clinical Research and ISRs - Evaluate external clinical research proposals and collaborate with internal teams to advise on impact and strategic alignment of the proposal.
- Manage investigator-sponsored research process including funding allocation and execution.
- Evaluate and recommend clinical sites who will contribute to excellent execution of clinical trials.
- Continued Medical Education - Collaborate with internal teams to plan and implement high quality physician medical education at scientific congresses or Boston Scientific-sponsored programs (advisory boards, educational programs, symposia, digital physician education)
- Create, customize, and prepare physicians to present scientific educational content for scientific congresses and educational programs.
- Internal data dissemination - Develop and maintain a high level of expertise in data pertaining to all marketed and pipeline products, as well as a solid knowledge base of current data developments in relevant fields of assigned technologies.
- Create content and provide updates to the organization on new data releases and key trials in the field of coronary intervention and structural heart valves.
Required qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in medical device industry or 3 years with advanced degree
- Masters (MD or PhD degree ideal) in life sciences, biomedical engineering or equivalent
- Fluency in understanding and interpretation of clinical data
Preferred qualifications:
- Technical or clinical knowledge in interventional cardiology preferred
- Experience in developing educational programs and KOL management
- Previous track record of building relationship with key opinion leaders in medical field
