The McGill Genome Centre is currently seeking a motivated individual for the position of research assistant 2.


Position Summary:

     

1. Perform Sequencing data analysis using Bioinformatic Tools in the Advanced Genomic Technologies Laboratory (AGT)

2.  Assist Academic Associates and Research associates in literature review and report generation

3.  Assist Academic Associates and Research associates in data analysis, figure generation and manuscript preparation

4.  Set up analysis workflows for long read RNA sequencing data

5.  Actively participate in project discussions with the AGT lab members,

6.  Assist in setting up and operating analytical workflows for technical development projects in Genomics

7. Work towards being able to analyze data independently and produce manuscripts for publication.

Education/Experience:

M.Sc. Degree

Other Qualifications:

    Knowledge of French and English: McGill University is an English-language university where day to day duties may require English communication both verbally and in writing. The level of English required for this position has been assessed at a level 4 (qualifier) on a scale of 0-4
