Job Description
Our Global Architecture & Urbanism Division combines the expertise of IBI’s Buildings and Placemaking practice, our Places’ capabilities, and CRTKL’s multi-sector design leadership to offer a diverse range of solutions focusing on human-centric design, sustainability, and technology.
Arcadis seeks an Architectural Designer to join its Retail Stores team located in Seattle. This position collaborates with a diverse and creative team, dedicated to excellence in design and innovative problem solving. The ideal candidate for this position will be organized, detailed-oriented, and a self-starting individual driven to succeed.

Role Responsibilities:
- Manages and coordinates the project delivery process of variable scale
- Collaborates with other lead professionals to ensure design and documentation meet project expectations
- Facilitates project schedules
- Serves as a main contributor during client meetings and presentations
- Negotiates critical and controversial issues with appropriate parties
- Develops, documents, and implements design, including detailing, material specifications, research, analytics, calculations, code compliance and quality control
- Produces construction documents with strong sensitivity to design
- Coordinates the project delivery process with project consultants
- Attends construction meetings and prepares field reports, answers RFIs, reviews shop drawings and prepares change bulletins
- Assists with financial management of all assigned projects
Qualifications
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or related design field
- 2+ years of related experience
- Background in base building and retail interiors preferred
- Ability to prioritize and concurrently service multiple projects
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Effective problem solving and interpersonal skills
- Ability to interface with all clients and employees
- 2+ year professional experience working in Revit
- Working knowledge of Revit
- Experience in AutoCAD
- LEED accreditation preferred
- Submit portfolio with application including Revit CD work samples
