Hybrid option with 2 days per week in our Berlin/Hamburg offices


What You Will Do

  • Owning the entire accounts payable process for our German entities

  • Booking various business transactions (AP, GL, Intercompany) and preparing/executing payments

  • booking cash/bank reconciliations

  • Assisting with cash planning procedures

  • Ensuring account reconciliations are completed on time and open items are cleared in a timely manner, especially with the monthly reporting requests

  • Assisting with the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings in accordance with IFRS and HGB 

  • Participation in the continuous improvement of the Group’s internal financial processes, reporting, and control system

  • Support with local statutory audit and tax filing preparations and submissions in accordance with German laws

  • Interact with other internal stakeholders in accounting matters as needed

Requirements

What You Will Bring

  • Completed vocational training or university degree with a focus on Finance and Accounting

  • Minimum 4 years of work experience in Accounting

  • Experience in MS Office is required, with strong Ms Excel competency

  • Full business proficiency in English and German is a must

  • Experience with ERP systems is needed, Oracle NetSuite knowledge is appreciated

  • Knowledge in IFRS and/or HGB (German GAAP) is highly desirable

  • Flexibility to handle different accounting cases (non-standard process actions)

  • Accurate, autonomous, and structured manner of work ethic

  • Ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment

  • High sense of responsibility and accountability
