We are looking for a Global Technical Manager for Upskilling and Training to be based in Munich, London, Paris or North America.

 

Your Team 
The Allianz Risk Consulting (ARC) Advisory Service was created to leverage cross-Line of Business (LoB) technical expertise to support Allianz Commercial’s market leadership and growth ambitions.

 

We focus on cross-LoB training and upskilling globally, key emerging trends relevant for our business, and driving innovation of new products and services, tools and processes. We work in partnership with Underwriting, the Underwriting Academy, Claims, Global Distribution and of course our clients and brokers.

 

The Impact You Will Have 
You will manage and coordinate selected technical expertise and upskilling to clients, risk consultants at Allianz Commercial and across the whole internal and external value chain. 

 

Reporting to the Global Head of ARC Advisory Services, you will be responsible for identifying gaps between existing and required training in relation to key technical and emerging risks and trends in the internal (ARC, UW, Claims, Distribution) and external value chain. You will coordinate closely with internal stakeholders, clients and the UW academy to manage the roll-out and maintenance of training courses in the most effective and efficient way. This will enable ARC to be positioned at the forefront of risk identification and thought leadership in Allianz and the wider market.

 

Some of your specific responsibilities could include:

• Develop, coordinate and roll-out client training programmes in close coordination with all stakeholders 
• Identify skills and expertise pockets of excellence via a skills map, as well as gaps between existing and required training linked to core technical skills, Emerging Risks and trends 
• Prioritize demand for expertise based on impact and available resources
• Adapt, develop and track training plans to upskill engineers and the business
• Ensure the roll-out of training courses in close coordination with global and regional ARC heads
• Support revision of the Business Expert Group (BEG) concept and how it operates within the internal value chain, where experts dedicate time to specific emerging risks and trends, cross-Lob services and training
• Contribute to the ARC growth agenda by helping drive thought leadership on Emerging Risks and Trends including ESG and global Supply Chain risks across the market

 

What You’ll Bring to the Role

You bring a proven track record in initiating, building and driving complex projects across multiple countries and cultures, with a strong pedagogical nature and ideally a background in Commercial insurance.

• You are a strong networker, able to build relationships across the business and with partners and clients
• You have a sound knowledge of Risk Consultancy and Allianz Commercial’s business and processes, with previous experience mentoring, coaching and training others
• Ideally you bring proven technical skills in risk engineering
• Ideally you bring experience in building training and upskilling programs, with knowledge of the latest training technologies and concepts 
• You speak and write fluent business English, with additional languages presented an advantage
