The Junior Graphic Designer applies design and layout skills to create visually engaging materials that support clinical operations and internal communications. This role assists in developing patient education materials, internal flyers, and health system signage while ensuring brand consistency. Working closely with the Graphic Designer, the Junior Graphic Designer contributes to projects that enhance communication with patients, staff, and the broader community. This position provides an opportunity to refine creative skills in a collaborative environment while supporting the health system’s marketing and branding initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree or coursework in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field; equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • One (1) year experience working in a similar role including, but not limited to: Graphic Design Intern, Creative Assistant, Digital Content Designer, or Production Assistant.
  • Intermiediate proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and familiarity with Microsoft Office.
  • A portfolio showcasing creative and professional design work (academic or personal projects) ir required for consideration.


Preferred:

  • Experience in a healthcare, nonprofit, or mission-driven organization.

Essential Job Functions:

In addition to the essential functions of the job listed below, employees must have on-time completion of all required education as assigned per DNV requirements, Bozeman Health policy, and other registry requirements.

  • Design, update, and maintain content, including clinical documents, infographics, presentations, and internal communications materials.
  • Ensure all materials align with the organization’s branding guidelines and quality standards.
  • Prepare print and digital materials for distribution, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Collaborate with clinical teams, marketing, and other departments to ensure content meets project objectives and user needs.
  • Organize and prioritize tasks, adhering to project deadlines and workflows.
  • Participate in regular feedback sessions and training opportunities to enhance design skills and grow within the role.
  • Maintain and organize design files, assets, and templates for easy accessibility.
  • Stay updated on design trends, healthcare marketing best practices, and new tools to continuously improve design output.

Schedule Requirements:

  • This role requires regular and sustained attendance.
  • The position may necessitate working beyond a standard 40-hour workweek, including weekends and after-hours shifts.
  • On-call work may be required to respond promptly to organizational, patient, or employee needs.
