The Neighborhood and Human Services department is hiring Teacher/Caregivers for the AM/PM Before and After School Program. Peoria’s Youth Programs division provides childcare at 22 elementary school locations within the Peoria United School District. The AM/PM program is designed for students ages 5-14 and is licensed by the Department of Health Services. This is an excellent opportunity for a childcare provider to collaborate with school personnel to develop a growing program. Teacher/Caregivers supervise and monitor children by actively participating with them through play and staff led enrichment, such as literacy, arts and crafts, and STEAM projects. If you have a passion for working with children, this is the job for you!

The ideal candidate for this position will have: / Key Responsibilities:

• The ability to implement the execution of an activity, event or program with limited direction.
• The ability to supervise and monitor children by actively participating with them in the activities.
• The ability to understand the importance of working at the July 4th Special Event in the summer.

• CPR/First Aid Certification
