Senior Algorithm Engineer II, Sensor Signal Processing
Cruise LLCAbout the role
We're Cruise, a self-driving service designed for the cities we love.
We’re building the world’s most advanced self-driving vehicles to safely connect people to the places, things, and experiences they care about. We believe self-driving vehicles will help save lives, reshape cities, give back time in transit, and restore freedom of movement for many.
In our cars, you’re free to be yourself. It’s the same here at Cruise. We’re creating a culture that values the experiences and contributions of all of the unique individuals who collectively make up Cruise, so that every employee can do their best work.
Cruise is committed to building a diverse, equitable, and inclusive environment, both in our workplace and in our products. If you are looking to play a part in making a positive impact in the world by advancing the revolutionary work of self-driving cars, come join us. Even if you might not meet every requirement, we strongly encourage you to apply. You might just be the right candidate for us.
The Sensors Signal Processing Team is responsible for developing sensor processing algorithms on our autonomous vehicles. We carry signal processing and control algorithms from prototype through production on multiple sensors, including Cameras and LiDARs. We are responsible for the software development, test, and data-driven validation of these algorithms. To accomplish this, we also develop internal tools for sensor interface and data analysis.
We are looking for a Senior Algorithm Engineer II for Sensor Signal Processing to join our growing team. We regularly interface with internal and external sensor domain experts to develop requirements and context for our work. We work cross-functionally with hardware, firmware, software, machine learning, test and validation teams to achieve our goals and responsibilities. We’re a self-starting, curious, and independent team that solves complex problems on the boundary between hardware and software.
If you’re looking for a unique role to blend software development skills with hardware in a fast-paced prototyping environment, and are interested in growing your skills in new fields of engineering, this role is for you.
