A Brief Overview
The Human Resources Representative for Talent Acquisition provides customer-focused service for all Talent Acquisition inquiries, supports recruitment efforts and ensures a positive and effective onboarding process for all candidates. The HR Representative is responsible for making sure all new hires successfully complete and clear the required pre-employment screening process and that all new hire paperwork and documentation is complete and stored in the SVH applicant tracking system prior to the new hire's first day of work or new employee orientation.

Education Qualifications

  • High School Diploma / GED Required
  • Associate's Degree Human Resources or a related field. Preferred


Experience Qualifications

  • 2 years Customer service or human resources experience. Required
  • 2 years Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook) experience. Required
  • 2 years Recruitment support experience. Preferred

What you will do

  • Complete all onboarding processes prior to start date using onboarding standard work and checklists. Order, track and review background screens and references; verify completion of onboarding requirements; update applicant tracking system and other online tracking systems; verify clearance prior to start date.
  • Process new hire paperwork and communicate with applicants and hiring managers on any changes to start dates or other situations where an offer needs to be rescinded.
  • Maintain orientation roster, assure accuracy and distribute drafts to appropriate department contacts.
  • Manage recruitment interview calendar and schedule interviews for recruiters and hiring managers as needed.
  • Manage and post requisitions submitted through applicant tracking system on a daily basis.
  • Review candidate pipeline and process communication to candidates and/or hiring managers in partnership with recruiter.
  • Notify director of any issues with background and reference checks prior to clearing candidate.
  • Generate and distribute reports from applicant tracking system for recruiters, hiring managers, and others as needed and requested.
  • Provide appropriate information to inquiries regarding recruitment, benefits, payroll policies and all other appropriate human resources inquiries.
  • Assist with career fair and other recruitment event preparation including registering, tracking, making copies, loading bags with display items and give away swag.
  • Create and post social media ads on SVH social media sites and other external job sites in partnership with the recruitment team.
  • Utilize capability of computer software to work efficiently and effectively (example: e-mail, scheduling, Cornerstone, Microsoft Office Suite, Workday, SharePoint, etc.).
  • Develops newsletters and maintains mailing lists.
  • Answer incoming phone calls and provide support for Talent Acquisition/HR building. Screen and appropriately, promptly, and accurately route calls and messages to team members/other HR departments.
  • Work with Employee Health and contract companies to ensure all needed documentation, health-related forms and licensure is in place prior to the contracted staff working at SVH; maintain and update contract staff files as needed.
  • Act as primary/backup timekeeper and complete payroll function for department.
