Raytheon is seeking a Section Leader in the Air Defense & Command and Control (AD&C2) Department within the System Integration and Test (SI&T) discipline. The AD&C2 Department supports multiple contracts for the Patriot and C5I Product Lines. As a Section Leader, the candidate will be expected to actively participate in AD&C2 leadership team goals and initiatives, support department hiring and program staffing, provide employee feedback and mentoring, and be actively involved in daily program operations. This position provides an opportunity to grow your skillset by contributing to the development of our workforce and creating and fostering environment.
What You Will Do
- Lead a team of engineers
- Establish meaningful and measurable goals and communicate effectively with the team
- Oversee the direct line management activities for the section including communication, performance management, career development, and talent acquisition
- Support department and directorate level initiatives
- Ensure employee compliance with company policies and procedures
- Oversight of personnel issue resolution
- Adhere to and ensure alignment to Raytheon Technologies Values and Behaviors
- Work as a technical lead or individual contributor; Section Leader duties account for approximately 10% of the employee’s time.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of prior engineering experience.
- Experience in system, software, integration, and/or test.
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Past experience with team leadership.
- Experience with the Earned Value Management System (EVMS) or similar budget tracking system.
- Experience with Raytheon’s Proposal Capture Process (development of Basis of Estimates, etc).
- Experience with the Estimate at Complete (EAC) process.
