About the role
The Opportunity:The Director of Key Account Sales & Retention serves to lead key account acquisition and retention strategies for complex prospects/clients. The incumbent will assemble and analyze prospect/client data insights to develop and execute acquisition and retention strategies in partnership with client executives and account managers to strengthen Hylant’s position and deepen its partnership with prospects and clients. In This Role You Will Execute On:
- Develop and lead key account strategies based on customer data insights to identify focus areas for program creation, launch and monitoring, and to assess point solution opportunities.
- Collaborate closely with client executive and account management teams on account planning.
- Attend prospect meetings as a strategist to identify key client needs and inform sales strategy.
- Utilize expertise in managing complex self-funded ecosystems and understanding cost containment and private equity expectations.
- Coach and develop sales and account management teams on the buying habits of large enterprises to strengthen acquisition and retention strategies and deepen Hylant’s partnership with clients during initial sales, implementation and ongoing account management.
- Perform other duties and special projects as requested.
In This Role You Will Need:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university required.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in employee benefits insurance, including self-funded clients.
- Strong communication skills including active listening and ability to effectively apply knowledge, experience and understanding of client needs to serve as trusted consultant and yield deliverables as expected.
- Demonstrated ability to work with diverse team members and clients across various levels of an organization such as C Suite leaders, attorneys, etc.
- Strong project management methodology, including effective use of resources to ensure team is able to effectively contribute to a project’s deliverables.
- Obtain and maintain active Health and Life license.
- Ability and willingness to travel by car or airplane for meetings, conferences, or other business-related functions.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
