Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Electronics Technician to join our company. Technician’s responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing all manufacturing equipment in a glass factory, performing routine servicing and inspections, reading manuals, troubleshooting rotating equipment using PLC or multimeter.
The ideal candidate will have strong electrical skills and good mechanical background, enjoy performing tasks with your hands and use a wide range of resources to solve machine operating problems
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Advanced troubleshooting of any down equipment
- Installing, repairing, maintaining electronic components and systems for manufacturing equipment
- Sourcing replacement parts for electrical and mechanical systems
- Support operations teams to ensure timely completion of tasks in line with safety protocols
- Completing scheduled preventative maintenance and servicing of equipment
- Assist other technicians as assigned and needed
- Follow written, verbal and process instructions
- Responsible for continuous operation of facility and production equipment
- Works with contractors to complete assigned tasks
- Competent working with production machinery, HVAC systems, cranes, utility systems, air compressors, CNC machines, ovens
- Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook/Office, Excel, Word and Google Suite
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience supporting maintenance in a manufacturing environment
- Experience in glass manufacturing (preferred)
- Journeyman or Graduate in Electricity (preferred)
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
Physical Demands:
Amount of Time Spent Performing Activities:
- Standing: Up to 2/3 of the shift
- Walking: Up to 1/3 of the shift
Required Physical Strength and Movement:
- Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs frequently
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Must be able to assist with team lifting of loads exceeding 50 lbs occasionally
- Must be able to stand for the entire length of the shift (up to 10 hours)
- Must be able to work in and around manufacturing and production equipment
- Frequent climbing of ladders, bending, stooping, standing, walking, twisting, kneeling, and reaching
- Must be able to see and hear to acknowledge critical safety instructions, alarms, forklift traffic, and perform quality and equipment inspections
- Must be able to sustain repetitive movement of both upper and lower extremities with varying degrees of force
