Lead Carpenter / Assistant Superintendent

Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Lead Carpenters / Assistant Superintendents for projects located in or around Gahanna, OH. This is a first shift opportunity, and the pay rate is $30-$35/hour based on experience and skill level.  If you are a Carpenter and want to work alongside other proven craftsmen who emphasize safety, productivity and superior craftsmanship, this is your chance to advance your career! 

 

Job Scope:     

• Oversee all on-site construction activities from mobilization through project completion
• Coordinate and manage subcontractors and self-perform crews (excavation, utilities, concrete, carpentry)
• Ensure projects are delivered on schedule and within budget
• Maintain a safe and compliant job site at all times
• Read and interpret plans, specifications, and schedules
• Conduct daily site inspections and manage quality control
• Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, and stakeholders
•  Lead project meetings and provide regular progress updates

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent in commercial construction
• Strong background in retail, food service, multi-tenant, or light commercial projects preferred
• OSHA knowledge and commitment to job site safety
• Experience managing self-perform work is highly valued
• Proven ability to manage schedules, budgets, and field teams
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
