Responsibilities
St. Joseph Medical Center is looking for a Regional Project Manager/Educator to join the Admitting team!
The Project Manager will assist the Regional Patient Access Director in supervising, managing and directing on-going new hire processes for the organization. The duties of the Project Manager include, but are not limited to:
- provide day-to-day coordination of projects
- ensure that all aspects of these projects are completed
- new hire training for all Patient Account Registrars (PARs) involved in admitting patients
- expert in revenue cycle: front end, back end and regulatory guidelines
- Quality Assurance audits on patient accounts/insurance claims
- expert in Epic
- education and training experience required
- Learning Management System experience
- manage new hire training checklist: hiring through preceptor
- educate Managers and Directors on new hire training and expectations
- coordinate monthly training with PARs as a group, as well as individually
- local travel to Prime Healthcare hospitals and clinics in the Kansas City metro area in Kansas and Missouri; some weekends involved
- must have skills: critical thinker, ability to troubleshoot, excellent customer service skills
Qualifications
Education and Work Experience
- Bachelor's Degree, preferred
- two (2) or more years of applicable work experience, required
- minimum two (2) years experience in project management, preferred
- knowledge of healthcare industry and hospital revenue cycle/business office, preferred
