What You'll Do:

 

As a Regional Manager of Maintenance and Housekeeping, our long-term nursing and rehabilitation care centers will rely on your expertise in building systems and facilities management to ensure all structural and mechanical aspects of the center are well maintained and provide a safe and comfortable healing environment for residents, families, and staff.  You will be a resource, consultant, educator, inspector, and leader regarding preventive maintenance, critical system repairs, building improvements, and regulatory compliance of the physical plant.

 

The scope of this role will include long-term nursing and rehabilitation care centers across the State of Connecticut. In addition to the key responsibilities below, this individual will step in as the acting Director of Plant Operations / Maintenance Supervisor and/or Housekeeping Supervisor should a position become vacant at a center until the role is filled.

 

In addition to the annual salary, this position will come with a company vehicle!

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ultimate responsibility for all aspects of preventive maintenance, equipment and mechanical system repairs, and improvements to the long-term care center physical plants across an assigned region
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to ensure the ongoing operation of critical health care systems and infrastructure 
  • Educate long-term care center teams and ensure compliance with all building safety, sanitation, and health codes for plumbing, electrical, HVAC and other building systems in a long-term care nursing and rehabilitation facility
  • Ensure all applicable life safety, environment of care and fire safety codes including NFPA 101 for healthcare facilities are followed
  • Participate in the hiring, training, and performance management of maintenance, building trades, housekeeping and other facilities staff
  • Assist in managing facility capital improvement projects, building renovations, and mechanical system upgrades to ensure the buildings, building systems, and properties remain functional over their expected lifespan
  • Collaborate with care center staff to address resident needs related to maintenance, housekeeping and the environment of care
  • Oversee all functions of the housekeeping and laundry departments in assigned centers
  • Performs periodic inspections of the building and grounds to ensure cleanliness and adherence to safety protocols
  • Assist directors in maintaining housekeeping/laundry department’s budgets
  • Assist the center during state surveys to ensure compliance with all laws/regulations as it pertains to maintenance, housekeeping, and laundry departments

Rate of Pay

Starting from USD $105,000.00/Yr.

Qualifications of a Regional Manager of Maintenance and Housekeeping include:
