Warehouse Supervisor (Harrah's Metropolis, Illinois)

SALARY RANGE- $20 hr.

POSITION SUMMARY:   Supervises, administers and performs operations of the Warehouse.  Oversees activities within the Warehousefunction including, but may not be limited to, inventory management, staffcoordination and scheduling, vendor communication, and issue resolution.  

MINIMUM AGE REQUIREMENTS: 21 years of age

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for overall safety of warehouse

Coordinate periodic inventories

Coordinate staff scheduling and coverage where needed.

Responsible for unloading trucks, receiving goods

Responsible for inputting received goods into warehouse receiving system computer

Ensures that requisitions are filled in a timely and accurate manner

Operates and maintains consistent shipment delivery, organization and tidiness of warehouse.

Communicates appropriate items or issues to the Financial Controller for follow up.

Problemresolution and error correction

Supervise activities of Warehouse with responsibility of assigning, reviewing and scheduling work and completing performance evaluations

Routinely exercise authorities to suggest or make recommendations for advancements, promotions, hiring and/or firing

Handle employee grievances and/or discipline

Planning, supervising and monitoring work

Make recommendations for transfers/promotions through the e-transfer system

Perform other miscellaneous work as assigned by the Financial Controller or Director of Finance

Must assure exceptional customer service to all patrons by communicating in a pleasant, friendly and professional manner at all times

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Physical- Must be able to:

Be mobile in a restricted area.

Stand, sit, bend and climb for long periods of time.

Must be able to see.

Must be able to lift a minimum of 50pounds.

Must be able to hear.  Can be augmented with a hearing aid.

Use the telephone to communicate during entire shift as needed.

Must be able to drive a vehicle to make deliveries as needed.

Climb stairs repeatedly.

Mental- Must be able to:

Work accurately with basic math skills.

Understand and comply with Policies and Procedures, job descriptions, daily memoranda and other written and verbal instructions.

Write to complete daily reports.

Read and understand in order to communicate with any staff, customers, suppliers and carriers.

Must be able to work under stressful conditions.  Must be able to handle multiple tasks and prioritize. 

PREREQUISITES/PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

High School graduate or GED equivalent.    Minimum 6 months warehouse experience. Computer skills including Microsoft office applications and inventory management applications. 

GAMING:

Must have the ability to hold an Occupational License as required by the Illinois Gaming  Board.
