This position is being added to support the development, refinement, facilitation, and implementation of the Texas Intervention Academies mathematics content during the pilot year. The position will provide specialized mathematics expertise to ensure high-quality professional learning materials, statewide implementation support, and successful facilitation of Mathematics Intervention Academies sessions aligned with project deliverables and grant requirements.

Purpose

The Senior Field Trainer/Analyst will support the development and implementation of the Texas Intervention Academies, a statewide professional learning initiative designed to strengthen instructional systems and intervention practices in mathematics. This role will contribute to the development and refinement of mathematics professional learning content, serve as a mathematics content author and subject matter expert, facilitate Mathematics Intervention Academies sessions, and support the successful implementation of the pilot year of the Texas Intervention Academies.

Responsibilities

Required Qualifications

Required experience includes expertise in mathematics instruction, MTSS-aligned instructional systems, professional learning design and facilitation, and large-scale educational implementation efforts. Experience supporting statewide or regional education initiatives, developing educator-facing instructional content and resources, and collaborating with school districts, Education Service Centers, state agencies, and external partners is preferred. Candidates should demonstrate strong knowledge of evidence-based mathematics practices, intervention systems, and educator capacity-building. Experience facilitating professional learning for educators and supporting implementation of instructional initiatives across diverse educational settings is required.

Master’s degree in Education, Educational Leadership, Curriculum and Instruction, Mathematics Education, or a related field.

Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred experience includes leadership of statewide mathematics initiatives; development and implementation of mathematics professional learning systems; collaboration with state agencies, Education Service Centers, and school districts; and experience authoring or reviewing instructional materials aligned with the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS). Preference will be given to candidates with experience supporting MTSS-aligned mathematics intervention systems, facilitating educator professional learning, managing large-scale implementation efforts, and utilizing digital learning platforms such as Canvas. Experience working with diverse learners, including bilingual and multilingual students, and experience presenting at regional or statewide educational conferences are also preferred.

Master’s degree in Education, Educational Leadership, Curriculum and Instruction, Mathematics Education, or a related field. Preference may be given to candidates with doctoral coursework completed or progress toward a doctorate in a related field.

Salary Range

$80,000 - $85,000
