Job Description
AECOM Water is seeking a CAD Specialist to join our busy Austin, TX office. Job Responsibilities:
- Works under limited supervision.
- Performs both routine and non-routine, complex drafting assignments that require judgment in resolving issues or making recommendations.
- Uses applications to scale and edit assignments involving the use of computer aided design and drafting equipment and other graphics software (e.g. CADD software) to achieve set results and deadlines.
- Digitize or trace sketches or concepts from Engineers using CADD software. Utilize AutoCAD or AutoCAD Civil 3D to create engineering construction documents, including grading, piping plans and profiles, surfaces, mechanical pipe networks, water and wastewater equipment plans and sections, and overall construction plan production
- Decisions made with general understanding of procedures and company policies to achieve set results and deadlines.
- Follows specific, standardized procedures to achieve set results and deadlines. Ability to produce high quality technical and professional deliverables by following in-house CAD standards and project examples for drawing setups.
- Ability to work closely with design engineers with minimal supervision.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirement:
- BA/BS degree +4 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Preferred Qualifications:
- 4 years of experience with Mechanical and/or piping design
- Experience using BIM technologies; experience creating and modifying 3D models, renderings and/or animations
Additional Information
Offered rate of compensation (Texas locations only) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $70,000 - $85,000.
