Senior Administrative Assistant at Providence Portland Medical Center- Full-Time, Day Schedule

Lyra Caregiver Assistance program- Up to 25 counseling or coaching sessions per eligible member per year

The Administrative Assistant III provides professional administrative support to the Supervisor of Pastoral Care and the CPE Supervisor.  Takes initiative in coordinating department IS/Telecom/Administrative/HR/Special Event and Project Planning.  Acts as the department IS liaison - coordinates IS for department (i.e., initial access for new hires, additional access for department staff, requests for changes to Star and Horizon, facilitates telecom for department - voicemail/pagers).  HR coordinator for department - coordinating new hire paperwork and timelines for orientation for interns/residents/new employees.  Project and Event planning:  includes analyzing, organizing, setting up, revising, and updating databases. Aids the Director in analyzing and preparing the departmental budget. Completes own delegated projects successfully and maintains expertise in compliance with hospital regulations, i.e., department safety coordinator.  Maintains files and database of all members of the Department and collaborates with PPMC staff in facilitating chaplain visits, aid to in-need patients and employees, and ongoing projects, i.e. prayer/memorial services.

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Master's Degree
  • Experience in a hospital environment.
