Gearhead Outfitters (GHO) was founded by Ted Herget in 1997 in a friend's living room in Jonesboro, Arkansas. Starting small, GHO quickly expanded and, after five years, relocated to Main Street in 2003, helping to revitalize the downtown area. Their dedication to quality and customer service has driven their growth into states like Oklahoma, Missouri, Kansas, and Colorado. In 2019, they acquired Rock/Creek and Uncle Dan’s, followed by Summit Canyon Mountaineering in 2024. Today, Gearhead Outfitters remains family-owned by Ted and Amanda Herget, staying true to their passion for the outdoors and their communities.

Assistant Store Manager- Full Time

Assistant Store Manager

Ready to lead with energy and keep the team pumped? The Assistant Store Manager makes sure every shift runs like a well-oiled machine!

Responsibilities:

• Be the go-to leader when the Store Manager’s away
• Ensure our guests receive exceptional service
• Keep the team motivated with daily to-do’s and high spirits
• Tackle any challenges with customers, teammates, or vendors with a smile
• Oversee inventory, special orders, and closing duties as needed
• Keep the Store Manager updated on all the good stuff
• Jump in wherever needed to make the day smooth

PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES

The following physical activities are necessary to perform one or more essential functions of this position.

• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
• Must be physically able to walk, stand, and stoop for several hours each day.
• Must be willing and able to sit on the floor and get up without assistance.
