Our Power & Energy Division has a broad portfolio of products and services - which include engines, generator sets, industrial gas turbines and locomotives, along with other related equipment depending on the industry and application. We deliver these products and services to Cat machine, oil & gas, power generation, transportation and industrial customers. P&E is also developing the advanced power sources of the future and is working on many solutions to help our customers lower their carbon footprint. Additionally, our Remanufacturing Division is another key component to the Power & Energy portfolio, which provides great economical and sustainability benefits to customers.
Job Summary
Join our team as a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst, where you'll leverage your expertise in MS Power BI and Snowflake database to develop and maintain BI solutions. You'll play a key role in analyzing business problems, providing actionable insights, and collaborating with stakeholders to build impactful visual management solutions. If you're passionate about driving business value through data visualization and analytics, and possess strong proficiency in Power BI development, including DAX, Power Query (M), Power APPS, and SQL queries, we'd love to have you on board.
What You Will Do:
- Expertise in MS Power BI development, including DAX and Power Query (M)
- Experience with BOBJ reporting, SAP BW BEx queries, and staging data onto Snowflake
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to collect and analyze data from various sources to provide insights and recommendations
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to effectively collaborate with business partners to gather data requirements
- Passion for leveraging data to drive business value and make informed decisions
What You Have:
- Education/Experience: This position typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, accounting, finance, or business-related degree and 5+ years of job related experience.
- Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision.
- Business Data Analysis: Knowledge of business data analysis; ability to collect, identify, analyze and interpret business data using various kinds of techniques to meet business needs and requirements.
- Business Assessment: Knowledge of the activities, tasks, practices and deliverables for assessing and documenting business opportunities; ability to assess the benefits, risks, and success factors of potential applications.
