Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our dynamic team. The PTA will be responsible for providing direct patient care under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist, conducting assessments, implementing treatment plans, and monitoring progress to help patients achieve their rehabilitation goals in the home setting.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the supervising physical therapist to develop individualized treatment plans based on patient assessments and goals.
- Provide hands-on therapy, therapeutic exercises, and functional training to patients to improve mobility, strength, balance, and coordination.
- Educate patients and their families on proper techniques for performing exercises and activities of daily living.
- Monitor patients' progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and communicate effectively with the supervising physical therapist and other members of the healthcare team.
- Document all patient care activities accurately and timely in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and standards of practice governing physical therapy services.
- Maintain professional competence through participation in continuing education and professional development activities.
- Collaborate with other healthcare providers and community resources to coordinate care and optimize patient outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree from an accredited physical therapist assistant program.
- Current and valid license or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in the state of Virginia.
- Minimum of [insert number] years of experience as a PTA, preferably in a home health or rehabilitation setting.
- Strong clinical assessment and treatment skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

- CPR certification (preferred).
- Ability to pass background checks and drug screenings.
