Job Description
Experience
- One year of psychiatric or behavioral health experience in the medical field
-Or-
- One year of experience as a clinical nurse in a medical inpatient/emergency department setting working with pediatric and adolescent patient populations
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in nursing
- 2-3 years of clinical nurse experience
- Experience in the emergency room setting
- Knowledge of normal/abnormal growth and development throughout the age continuum
- Previous experience with crisis management and de-escalation techniques and strategies
- Experience with and knowledge of the assessment, management and treatment of behavioral health patients
Education
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
- Certification Summary
- Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the single State of Georgia or Multi-State through the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact
- Completion of Marcus Crisis Prevention Program as a user within 90 days of hire
- Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of employment

- Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the single State of Georgia or Multi-State through the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact
- Completion of Marcus Crisis Prevention Program as a user and trainer within 90 days of hire
- Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of employment

Job Responsibilities
Practice (Caring for the Patient)
- Provide direct patient care in assessment, management, and treatment plan development for behavioral and mental health patients in crisis in the Emergency Department and other practice settings.
