The position requires the following:
- Extensive knowledge of construction document production
- Experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals and perform a variety of tasks,
- Typically reporting to a Director
- Strong organizational, communication, and presentation skills
- Strong managerial skills
- This position requires a bachelor's degree in a related field and 10+ years of industry experience.
- Proficiency in design and documentation using CAD and Revit.
- Professional Certification, NCARB, NCIDQ or equivalent
- Membership/Participation and/or Leadership within a Professional Organization AIA, ASID, IIDA or other professional organization tied to the real estate, design, or marketing industry.
- Problem solving skills and the ability to lead a team to determine a solution/remedy.
- Ability to apply lessons learned to future design solutions and team leadership.
- Ability to teach the why behind a design solution or architectural problem.

- Ability to create a Cartoon Set of documents for project team that clearly outlines the design/delivery process.
- Ability to train colleagues regarding design tools, procedures, trends, and skills.
- Ability to create a meeting agenda, meeting minutes, and follow-up tasks for team working in close collaboration with the Project Manager.
- Ability to create professional service fees and strong knowledge of the proposal generation process/procedures.
- Proven Success with Business Development activities through professional network and attendance of industry events and programs. Senior Interior Designer Level 1 has brought professional service fees to the firm.
- Knowledge of local real estate market, brokers, PM groups, and others that typically request services of Carrier Johnson + Culture
- Participation within social media campaigns promoting Carrier Johnson + Cultures reach and connections
- Ability to form a design opinion that is adapted into a marketing campaign to promote the firm at large
- Creative writing skills and the ability to relay a design concept statement to marketing for the creation of promotional materials and project data sheets.
Responsibilities for this position include the following:
- Coordinating construction administration and conducting technical research that encompasses research, development, and implementation of plans and designs of commercial and residential interior environments to enhance the function and quality of interior spaces, thereby increasing productivity and protecting the health, safety, and welfare of the general public.
- Executing the interior design process within the overall framework of the project team, following a systematic and coordinated methodology which includes research, analysis, and integration of information into the creative process, resulting in an appropriately planned and designed interior environment.
- Analyzing client's needs, goals, and life and safety requirements.
- Integrating findings with knowledge of interior design principles.
- Formulating preliminary design concepts that are appropriate, functional, and aesthetic
- Developing conceptual design and design development of interior projects.
- Selection of interior finishes, furniture, and equipment.
- Leading Procurement staff to ensure successful specification, plan placement, and staging of goods purchased for the project.
- Developing final design recommendations through appropriate presentation media.
- Production of space plans, furniture plans, elevations, conceptual and finished design presentation documentation.
- Development of Construction Documents.
- Coordinate with Project Manager and Team in construction documentation production using CAD and/or Revit.
- Incorporating applicable building code and ADA code compliance regulations.
