IT Program and Project Manager

The Opportunity:

We are looking for an IT Project Manager who can translate larger program goals into well-designed project plans and assist the client in developing innovative solutions to complex problems. You know that project managers touch every part of an organization and wear multiple hats, from caring for the client and their meaningful project goals to participating in organizational development and being a key contributor to team success.

In this role, you'll translate larger program goals into well-designed project plans and assist the client in developing innovative solutions to complex problems. You'll work directly with clients to help ensure tasks are managed effectively. You'll empower our clients through communication, ensuring the program achieves its goals and meets our quality standards. You'll engage with clients to collect, understand, and define their IT requirements, analyze and translate them into project plans and milestones, and create realistic resource-loaded schedules to manage and report progress. You'll write and deliver executive leadership-level communications and briefings.

You Have: 

  • 3+ years of experience in DoD Program Management and Acquisition Management

  • Experience with planning, scheduling, coordinating, and delivering IT projects

  • Experience with developing program baselines and identifying program risks

  • Knowledge of technical concepts, best practices, and developing client solutions

  • Ability to work independently, with minimal direction, and help lead a team 

  • Ability to anticipate, mitigate, and resolve risks and conflicts across workstreams

  • TS/SCI clearance

  • Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have: 

  • Experience with performance management improvement in support of IT governance

  • Knowledge of Governance Risk and Compliance management to ensure that projects support appropriate risk standards and compliance requirements

  • Knowledge of vendor management to ensure that vendors, contracts, and Service Level Agreements are aligned

  • SAFe Program Consultant Certification 

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification

  • Scrum Master Certification, Agile Practitioner Certification, Agile Project Delivery Management (APM) Certification, or Lean Six Sigma Blackbelt Certification

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.
