Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Additional information about transcripts is in this document. There is no specific length of training or experience required. However, you must be able to demonstrate, through experience shown in your written application materials that you possess the sufficient knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the work of this position without more than normal supervision. Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of a(n) Motor Vehicle Operator ~ without more than normal supervision. I am skilled at operating gasoline driven trucks or truck tractors with trailer; ensuring cargo is properly located, distributed, and secured on vehicles; keeping accurate records/logs; and performing driver maintenance in accordance with established rules and regulations. - Failure to meet this Screen out Element will result in an ineligible rating. PHYSICAL EFFORT: The incumbent must not be restricted by physical handicaps or any medical reason for not being able to obtain or keep a CDL, with the required endorsements. Will occasionally lift and carry items that weigh in excess of 50 pounds. WORKING CONDITIONS: Incumbent is exposed to inclement weather, and required to drive under adverse conditions. May be required to work pushing snow during emergency conditions. Drives in heavy traffic and at highway speeds over complicated roads and interchange systems. Works mostly outside, and operates vehicles in all kinds of weather in a controlled traffic environment throughout a Government installation or establishment. Will be exposed to dirt and fumes, and to the possibility of cuts and bruises. Incumbent will be required to work rotating shifts, as well as, weekends and holidays.
