About the role

NSF is seeking to a Manager of Operations to add to its growing Food Equipment team. The ideal candidate must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. As well as meet expected deadlines and turnaround times. This position is focused on the operational and strategic execution for the Food Equipment team, including Food Equipment, Nonfood Compounds, Food Contact Materials and Safer Choice.

  • Execute department strategies and initiatives
  • Drive & manage operational initiatives and process improvement activities
  • Ensure best practices are identified, standardized, measured and effectively employed across the division
  • Establishes and maintains critical relationships with internal and external stakeholders as required to achieve strategic objectives
  • Communicates throughout the organization in a timely manner with leaders, team members, customers and partners
  • Interfaces and builds collaborative relationships with functional and cross divisional partners such as Sales, marketing, finance, IT, etc. on initiatives
  • Work closely with IT to ensure alignment of IT system functionality with the business process and data reporting needs
  • Role will lead a team to ensure delivery of strategic and operational initiatives

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum 5-10 years of experience
  • Previous experience leading projects, initiatives, or strategic plans
  • Demonstrated success with continuous improvement initiative management and implementation and NSF IT system implementation
  • Problem solving experience; familiar with risk-based approach and LEAN/Continuous improvement methodologies
  • Strong strategic and analytical skills
  • MS Office experience and system knowledge; experience and system knowledge of iPulse is required
  • Experience navigating difficult client/employee situations
  • Experience training and/or mentoring others
  • Ability to work and communicate effectively in a team environment
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational and analytical skills
