Your Purpose 

The Manager of Engineering MOW you are the primary track and right of way manager for the FEC corridor. They will oversee all the track, exterior facilities (stations/parking structures), ROW maintenance, and safety apparatus throughout the corridor that Brightline is responsible for.  Manage and guide track personnel in the field and classroom training.  Also, oversee the exterior maintenance of all Brightline owned facilities on the FEC corridor.

Essential Functions:

· Manage the VTI, ATGMS, TGMS, and Ultrasonic Rail Testing validation on Brightline owned track.

· Help with managing Track Asset, Track Inventory, and other related Track Management programs as needed.

· Mentor and train employees on Brightline Standards and Procedures, FRA Rules and Regulations, and any other track related work.

· Help with managing the implementation of new technology across the rail corridor.

· Oversee all the maintenance activities on Brightline owned ROW, Stations, yards, and track on the FEC corridor.

· Manage Brightline Engineering employees and foster growth and collaboration within the department.

· Work with the Facilities team on accomplishing projects.

· Work with new and current vendors on system improvements and implementation.

· Support of the Brightline Maintenance team 24-7 for emergency response.

· Support other projects as assigned.

· Work with FEC Engineering department on ROW issues and track maintenance.

Qualifications:

· Minimum of five years of management experience on Class 4 or above track.

· Associate degree from an accredited college or university

· Safety-focused and diligence to continuously perform high-quality work

· Able to lift, climb, push and/or bend for extended periods of time and the ability to lift objects with weights in excess of 50 pounds in a safe manner

· Ability to support Railroad operations on 24/7 emergency coverage

· Computer skills – Microsoft office applications

· Understanding of all applicable FRA Regulations and rules

· Ability to read strip charts from ATGMS, TGMS, and VTI data

· Understanding of internal rail flaws and how to assign repairs

· Understanding of minor building maintenance, pressure washing, fencing, and other railroad ROW maintenance as needed

Preferred:

· Ten years of Railroad supervisory experience on Class 4 or higher class

· Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university

· Railroad track welding experience

· RMM experience
