 River Region Psychiatry Associates – Marks, MS

River Region Psychiatry Associates is seeking a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), to join our inpatient team in Marks, MS. This is a full-time position in our 8-bed geriatric psychiatry unit, providing essential therapy and social work services to support patient care and safe discharge planning.

Position Responsibilities:

• Conduct intake screenings and assessments
• Provide individual and group therapy for geriatric patients
• Assist patients and families in finding resources and community support
• Develop and implement safe discharge plans
• Collaborate with probate courts and legal entities as needed
• Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care

All final candidates will be background and drug screened.

Qualifications:

• LMSW, LPC, LCSW, or ALC licensure in Mississippi (or eligibility)
• Experience in inpatient or geriatric mental health care preferred
• Strong communication, advocacy, and organizational skills

Education

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work or Counseling

Experience

• Prior experience in providing mental health counseling services within a clinical setting
