Job Description
- Ensures repair processes are deployed and are adhered to
- Develops and documents step by step repair procedures in conjunction with Service Project Leaders and ISO9000 requirements.
- Determines if special fixtures are required and if needed, assumes the lead role to acquire or construct.
- Archives technical documents and maintains an organized technical library.
- Assures that all ECNs are implemented.
- Provides feedback on processes – enables local and global improvements.
- Develop and maintain local repair processes (work instructions) and tools needed for the repair lines.
- Makes recommendations for proper equipment selection.
- Respond to Quality and Engineering requirements on failure detail.
- Recommends actions needed to correct problems.
- Reports negative trends in product performance or defects to appropriate Quality and Engineering personnel.
- Act as the on-site, local quality assurance representative.
- Provide timely input and works with the Information Specialist for month end reports and trend charts to track performance metrics.
- Provides technical repair training to new employees, and refresher training to existing employees as need be.
- Responds to customer complaints regarding repair quality or related.
- Assist in expediting urgent requests as needed.
- Contributes to team KPI improvement metrics such as turn-around-time (TAT) and 2nd Fail Rates.
Qualifications
- FAA repair certification required
- AAS in Electronic Systems Technology (or similar); BS Degree in Electrical Engineering preferred
- Five (5) years of repair experience
- Exceptional problem solving skills

- Ability to train individuals in a one-to-one teaching environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office platforms including Word, Excel, Power Point, Access, and Visio.

- Normal office environment with occasional lifting of heavy equipment.
- Reports to: Unit Operations Supervisor.
