The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
As a Greenville Project Engineer, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
- Manage project timelines and budgets for assigned projects
- Successfully interact with multiple discipline teams including 3M plant personnel, consultants and suppliers
- Specify equipment performance and design criteria
- Estimate capital equipment and installation cost.
- Define and execute competitive bidding strategy.
- Oversee plant equipment layout and design.
- Coordinate construction activity
- Lead equipment commissioning.
- Protect 3M intellectual property.
- Communicate effectively to project team, facility staff and project stakeholders.
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering (completed and verified prior to start)
- Three (3) years of combined working experience in a project, plant or manufacturing in a private, public, government or military environment
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
- 5 years' experience in a project engineering/ capital project management role in manufacturing process industry.
- Knowledge in coating lines, web handling, slitting, converting, packaging equipment, and utilities.
- Experience working on a cross functional team
- Excellent communication skills (oral, written and presentation)
Work location:
- Greenville, SC
Travel: May include up to 5% domestic
