Job Overview
At TE Connectivity, you’ll help bring our purpose to life by creating a safer, sustainable, productive and connected future. Your role as an Intern in the Medical Business Unit, will help us make the connections that move the world forward by:
- Support the Manufacturing Engineering team in improving medical metals manufacturing processes using structured problem-solving skills.
- Support Operations in resolving production issues and implementing permanent solutions.
- Be in a dynamic role where you will improve yields, assist with quality controls, and improve process capability.
Responsibilities
- Participate in Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) process to identify root cause and determine corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Design and coordinate standard engineering tests and experiments.
- Design, procure, and fabricate tooling and fixtures.
- Assist in planning, organization, and conducting all aspects of technical studies.
- Assist in writing Manufacturing Process Instructions.
- Provide engineering support for other departments as needed.
- Works on special administrative projects as directed and prioritized by manager such as data entry, data analysis, filing, organizing, and maintaining files.
- Prepare and complete a presentation to the department and for personal portfolio at the end of the internship showing project status and achievements.
You’re the kind of person we are looking for if you:
• Have Received a High School Diploma or GED
• Are currently enrolled in a program or pursuing a BA/BS or MA/MS Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Biomedical Engineering from an accredited college or university or have equivalent work history. (In certain circumstances, students who are taking a gap year will be considered.)
• Have previous internship or large project experience is preferred
• Are authorized to work in the U.S.
