Job Description

Education BSW from an accredited social work program or equivalent education/experience Experience Previous social work experience in a medical setting Certification & Licensures BLS Certification (Basic Life Support) - American Heart ‘Healthcare Provider’ (HCP) - AHA approved required * Additional Certification/Licensure Requirements Minimum of "Exceeds Standards" for most recent performance appraisal. Meets standards in all areas. * New hires must have American Heart Association (AHA) appropriate certification prior to completion of orientation. Qualifications Skills in clinical assessment, basic medical terminology, group process/dynamics and case management. Ability to interact as a member of a multidisciplinary team. Competent to successfully interact with patients according to their special needs which may apply based on the ages of the patient served (see Job Description Addendum - Age Specific Competencies). Basic computer and keyboarding skills or proficiency in Microsoft Office preferred.
