Summary Description: Reporting to the Manager of Financial Reporting, the Financial Reporting Accountant participates as a member of the accounting department and plays a vital role with key responsibilities in the timely preparation of internal and bank reporting documents, analyses, and other functions critical to the closing and reporting process. This individual will work closely with other departments and external auditors.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform daily treasury functions
- Assist in the preparation of periodic and annual reports in accordance with GAAP
- Prepare, gather, and maintain supporting documentation for monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, debt covenants, and related notes
- Assist in internal, external, and other audit processes by providing support and explanation for the financial information and data provided
- Prepare journal entries and reconciliations as assigned
- Maintain lease software for ASC842 compliance
- Research complex accounting transactions and propose the appropriate journal entries
- Stay knowledgeable on upcoming accounting pronouncement changes
- Assist in tax and audit year-end work papers
- Other duties as may be reasonably assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; Masters preferred
- CPA Preferred
- Extreme attention to detail, high level of professionalism, and excellent communication skills.
- Strong proficiency with MS Excel, MS Outlook, and MS Word. and
- Normally requires no instructions on routine work, and general instructions on new assignments.
- Highly motivated with the ability to work on a team as well as independently and drive results.
- Experience with financial reporting, property lease payments, and treasury functions desired
- Occasional travel out of state may be necessary.
