About the role
<p>As a member of the Due Diligence team, the candidate handles managing and executing independent engineering and technical advisory services to support the financing, sale, or acquisition of renewable energy technologies including onshore wind, solar PV and BESS.</p>
<p>The candidate should be leading key M&A transactions for multi technology platforms across different countries being the main point of contract for the Client. </p>
<p>Within a TDD process, the candidate should handle internal and external coordination of the fulfilment of the project, close follow-up with customers along the project from kick-off meeting to invoicing, respecting project timeline, ensuring the project profitability meets expected targets, checking on customer’s satisfaction and channel internally improvement areas.</p>
<p>The candidate is expected to be involved in the execution of review of key areas within the TDD process and coordinate the works ensuring high quality standards on the deliverables.</p>
<p>Collaborate with the Sales Team and participate in online and face-to-face customer meetings to bring technical expertise. Support the preparation of proposals on the technical aspects when required. Showcase technical topics within articles, online publication, customer trainings or live events to promote. Assist with any other duties as assigned within Renewables advisory activities.</p>
<p>The position requires a mature candidate with effective communication, project management, and technical skills.</p>
<p>The successful candidate will be a self-starter, with a can-do spirit and willingness to work hard in a team environment to achieve shared success.</p>
<ul><li>Managing and executing technical due diligence processes to support the financing, sale, or acquisition of wind, solar and BESS projects and portfolios, including site overview, overseeing turbine technology review, civil and electrical design review, review of commercial and technical contracts (TSA, BOP, EPC, BSA, O&M, LTSA, TCMA, PPA, etc.), project schedule, environmental and permitting process, financial model (DEVEX, CAPEX, OPEX), site visits (development, construction, or operation).</li><li>Compile and complete TDD reports and summarize key results and conclusions. Ensure a quality of work that meets and exceeds client expectations. Integrate all review sections from UL Solutions and sub-consultants’ multi-disciplinary team and the results of energy analysis and ensure that technical and commercial analysis is consistent throughout sections.</li><li>Perform site visits during construction and operation and perform monthly construction monitoring site visits to review progress against technical specifications, budget and milestone schedule. Compile and review site visit reports and monthly construction monitoring reports.</li><li>Prepare proposals detailing scope of work, team, budget and schedule for completion.</li><li>Work with customers as the main client interface for UL Solutions. Attend client meetings with lenders and developers as needed. Engage clients and internal staff to develop creative solutions to meet client needs; provide exceptional customer service with a focus of growing client relationships.</li><li>Manage and schedule internal resources as well as internal and external individuals to ensure project deliverables stay on time, on target, and on budget.</li><li>Prepare communication plan and related project status reports. Facilitate and lead regular status meetings with internal project team, sponsors, and stakeholders.</li><li>Represent UL Solutions at conferences and business development meetings.</li><li>Ensure the use of best practices and apply lessons learned from previous projects.</li><li>Mentor and train junior staff and assume responsibility for the internal growth of the team.</li><li>Work with multi-disciplinary team to identify project risks, barriers, and issues and propose possible solutions and mitigation strategies.</li><li>Support the business strategy and development for the advisory due diligence team.</li></ul>
<ul><li>At least +8-10 years of experience as a project manager in renewable energies due diligence processes, project development, construction, equipment supply, operation or mergers and acquisitions.</li><li>Demonstrable experience handling utility scale Projects with experience on site overview, design, familiar with the review of typical contracts and financial model.</li><li>Good understanding of the technology and other main equipment in the BOP of a wind and solar PV Project, including typical KPIs.</li><li>Good understanding of the local market with a high degree of connection with key stakeholders in the local industry.</li><li>Focused and versatile team player who is comfortable under pressure, ambiguity, frequent change, or unpredictability.
