Software Developer & Information System Security Officer / SECRET Clearance

Global Engineering & Technology (GET) is currently seeking a highly skilled Software Developer and Information System Security Officer (ISSO) to join our team in supporting USSOUTHCOM. This position, based on-site in the vibrant Miami suburb of Doral, Florida, requires a candidate with expertise in software development and information system security.

Requirements

Security Clearance & Nationality:

Applicant must have an active U.S. Department of Defense SECRET security clearance and be a citizen of the United States

Responsibilities:

1. Analyze user needs and develop software solutions, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis.
2. Update software or enhance existing software capabilities using web and general programming languages such as SQL, VB script, CGI script, JavaScript, HTML, and any language targeting .NET, Cold Fusion, Oracle, MS Office technology, and Power BI.
3. Collaborate with computer hardware engineers to integrate hardware and software systems, and develop specifications and performance requirements.
4. Maintain databases within an application area, either individually or by coordinating database development as part of a team.

Experience:

1. Minimum of 5 years of experience in analyzing user needs and developing software solutions.
2. At least 5 years of experience in updating or enhancing existing software capabilities using web and general programming languages (SQL, VB script, CGI script, JavaScript, HTML, any language targeting .NET, Cold Fusion, Oracle, MS Office technology, Power BI).
3. Minimum of 3 years of experience working with computer hardware engineers to integrate hardware and software systems and developing specifications and performance requirements.
4. At least 5 years of experience maintaining databases within an application area, either independently or as part of a team.
5. Minimum of 6 years of general experience, of which at least 4 years are specialized.

Education:

1. Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) or equivalent in computer science, information systems, business, or another related scientific or technical discipline.
