Surgical Education Resource Coordinator

• Functions as the Education Resource Coordinator in the Surgical Skills Lab within the Sports Medicine Institute
• Under direction from Surgical Skills Lab leadership, the successful candidate will have a mix of administrative and hands-on responsibilities
• Work hours vary to include some early morning, evening and weekend events; this position has flexible scheduling opportunities
• Coordinate planning and implementation of hands-on educational courses primarily using human cadaver specimens
• Set up for, and maintain a presence in all education events, assisting faculty and learners with day-of-education instrument, equipment, and supply needs
• Collaborate with internal and external educational partners to design, plan, and advertise educational events
• Identify and communicate equipment/instrumentation needs for all education events
• Order or coordinate deliveries of human specimens and medical equipment delivery/return for all education events
• Order and receive commonly used lab disposables and specialty equipment/supplies for educational
• Perform periodic evaluation of lab technology and identify equipment in need of repair or replacement, coordinating repairs as necessary
• Support and participate in the educational research mission of lab; participate in development of research proposals and assists with identification and procurement of research supplies
• Assist in clean-up and turn-over of lab spaces

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. 2 years of relevant experience required. 2-4 years of relevant experience preferred.
