Registered Nurse (Part-Time RN)

Description

Oral and Facial Surgery of the Shoals is seeking an energetic and compassionate Alabama Licensed Registered Nurse to join our Sheffield team on a part-time basis. 

This part-time RN role is essential to the consult and surgical flow of our practice. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical experience, excellent communication skills, and a passion for patient-centered care. 

This position is part-time will be scheduled to work three days a week from 7:30 am to 5:00 pm.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate the consult floor three days per week.
• Assess and respond to patient needs by applying clinical knowledge, research, and sound judgment.
• Prepare patients for surgical procedures, including administering local and IV sedation per physician instructions.
• Monitor and evaluate patients’ preoperative, perioperative, and postoperative conditions.
• Promote and maintain a safe, healthy clinical environment.
• Perform administrative tasks using computer systems as needed.
• Uphold patient confidentiality and maintain HIPAA compliance.
• Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed to support patient care and practice operations. 

Requirements

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Active RN license in the state of Alabama.
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience required.
• Previous experience in oral surgery or a dental setting strongly preferred.
• Proficiency in documenting patient histories and understanding relevant health conditions and medications.
• Experience operating X-ray and CT equipment is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Professional demeanor with a team-oriented attitude.
• Must be detail-oriented, reliable, and passionate about patient care.
