Position:  People & Places (HR) Intern

Location:  Mahwah, NJ

Details of the program:

  • The program is open to students at a Junior or Senior level in their Bachelor’s Degree program.
  • The Internship is for February 2024 to May 24, 2024
  • 29 hours per week during business hours (Business Hours: Monday- Friday 8:30am-5:00pm)
  • Hydbrid Schedule available
  • Paid internship - $18/hour

 

What you will be doing:

  • Embedding the company purpose in our people processes;
  • Prioritizing recruitment to reduce time to hire and improve the candidate experience, support implementation of new recruitment tool and onboarding experience;
  • Lead internal communications;
  • Revamp our sharepoint/intranet site with updated policies and processes;
  • Policies- research and assist in developing new policies 
  • Retirement- Assisting with compliance regulations
  • Recruitment- posting roles, sourcing candidates, pre-employment checks, and onboarding new hires
  • Administrative duties such as archiving, proofing, and data entry
  • Other HR projects and support as needed

What you will need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in progress (Junior or Senior), or pursuing a graduate studies degree for 2024 in Human Resources or equivalent field  (copy of transcript required)
  • Strong Analytical background
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
  • High level of professionalism
  • Detailed orientated, self starter, strong work ethic, team player, ability to build to build rapport and communicate confidently; 
  • Member of Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM) preferred
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Candidates must have strong written and verbal communication skills
  • 3.0 GPA or higher
