The Trademark Department at our headquarters in Fuschl am See, Austria, is responsible for handling and coordinating trademark prosecution matters worldwide for Red Bull and its affiliated companies in over 200 jurisdictions.

We are currently seeking a candidate to join our team in the role as Legal Counsel Trademark Clearance.

Job Description

GLOBAL TRADEMARK CLEARANCE SEARCHES

In this position, you will be responsible for conducting, analyzing, and reviewing trademark clearance searches via various databases and search machines. Plus, you will prepare worldwide trademark clearance reports and make recommendations on how to overcome third party trademark obstacles as necessary.

In reviewing third party marks in various jurisdictions, you will also be responsible to coordinate risk assessments from local counsels, as necessary as well as liaise internally with our Prosecution, License and Brand Enforcement Teams.

CARTOON CLEARANCES

In addition to trademark clearances, you´ll also be responsible for preparing clearance assessments regarding creatives and headlines in IP-sensitive countries and involve local counsels, as necessary.

Qualifications

Law Degree, LLM (in IP Law) would be a plus

At least 2-3 years of experience in intellectual property law, specifically in international trademark searches and clearances, preferably with an international law firm or company

Solid experience in managing high volumes and complicated trademark clearances in a global context

Fluency in English, German is a plus

Strong communication skills and good risk analysis and decision-making skills

Sound business judgement and strategic thinking

Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment

Analytical, professional & solution oriented working style

Familiarity with SAEGIS and other search applications

Additional Information

Due to legal reasons we are obliged to disclose the minimum salary according to the collective agreement for this position, which is € 2.392,- gross per month. However, our attractive compensation package is based on market-oriented salaries and is therefore significantly above the stated minimum salary.
