The Spend Management Technology organization is responsible for delivering innovative enterprise technology solutions that enable the business’ processes for firm-wide controls including Sourcing, Contract Management, Accounts Payable, Asset Management and Third Party Oversight.

Spend Management Technology (SMT) is seeking a Senior Backend/Database developer who will play an integral role in designing, implementing, and supporting data integration with new systems, data warehouse, and data extraction solutions across SMT functional areas.

What You'll do in the role:

  • Design and development of data integration with new sources

  • Build high-quality reusable code that can be used as framework for data integration

  • Develop functional and efficient data integration interfaces

  • Troubleshoot and debug integration interfaces

  • Worked extensively on data integration, designing, and developing reusable interfaces/

  • Advanced experience in Python, DB2, Sybase, shell scripting, Unix, Perl scripting, DB platforms, database design and modelling, and ETL technologies, Informatica

  • Conduct tests and optimize performance

  • Participating in the rapid development of user-driven prototypes to identify technical options and inform multiple architectural approaches

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team of designers, developers and system owners

  • Implementing DevOps techniques and practices like Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment, Test Automation, Build Automation and Test-Driven Development to enable the rapid delivery of working code-utilizing tools like Jenkins, Gradle and Git

What You'll bring to the role:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field with 12+  years of experience working as a hands-on backend/database developer

  • Extensive data integration, data warehousing experience; Front to back (full stack) experience is a plus

  • Advanced experience in Python, DB2, Sybase, shell scripting, Unix, Perl scripting, DB platforms, database design and modeling, and ETL technologies

  • Advanced experience in Informatica.

  • Expert level understanding of data warehouse, core database concepts and relational database design

  • Experience in writing stored procedures, optimization and performance tuning

  • Strong Technology acumen and a deep strategic mindset

  • Proven track record of delivering results and impact

  • Proven analytical skills and experience making decisions based on hard and soft data

  • A desire and openness to learning and continuous improvement

  • Hands-on experience on development of APIs is a plus

  • Experience with Business Intelligence tools, Source to Pay applications such as SAP Fieldglass
