Position Overview
Guardian Professional Services is seeking an experienced, organized, and professional Station Manager / Operations Manager to lead our operations at RDU Airport. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for day-to-day management of staffing, service performance, scheduling, timekeeping oversight, administrative compliance, and maintaining a high standard of service for both employees and our client partners.
Our operation at RDU is centered around wheelchair passenger assistance and baggage support services, and we are looking for a leader who understands fast-paced logistics environments and can maintain structure, accountability, and consistency across all shifts.Key Responsibilities

This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for day-to-day management of staffing, service performance, scheduling, timekeeping oversight, administrative compliance, and maintaining a high standard of service for both employees and our client partners.
Our operation at RDU is centered around wheelchair passenger assistance and baggage support services, and we are looking for a leader who understands fast-paced logistics environments and can maintain structure, accountability, and consistency across all shifts.Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations including staffing coverage, shift execution, and performance standards
- Lead frontline supervisors and employees with structure, coaching, and accountability
- Manage labor planning and create schedules to meet operational needs across all shifts
- Maintain ADP timekeeping processes including timecards, attendance tracking, payroll approvals, and basic reporting
- Ensure operational readiness and consistent execution (including weekends and holidays as needed)
- Maintain strong client relations through professionalism, responsiveness, and consistent service delivery
- Manage employee relations: coaching, corrective action, conflict resolution, and performance improvement plans
- Maintain administrative documentation including reports, compliance logs, training records, and operational paperwork
- Communicate directly with the Director of Operations and follow chain of command appropriately
- Support recruitment needs including reviewing applicants, conducting interviews, assisting in hiring decisions, and onboarding coordination
- Understand and apply Guardian’s technology platforms, including employee applications, scheduling tools, reporting systems, and technology related to wheelchair operations and service tracking
- Ensure policies, safety standards, and operational expectations are followed at all times
- Minimum 5 years of operational management experience in a fast-paced, service-driven environment
- Examples include Amazon, FedEx, UPS, warehouse/logistics, hospital operations, transportation, packaging/distribution, aviation operations, or similar high-volume operational settings
- Strong leadership presence with the ability to manage teams, drive results, and hold employees accountable
- Solid understanding of scheduling, attendance management, and timekeeping oversight
- Working knowledge of ADP (or similar timekeeping/payroll platforms) preferred
- Tech-savvy and highly organized — must be proficient across Microsoft platforms, including but not limited to:
- Microsoft 365 / Office Suite
- Outlook / Teams
- Excel / Word
- SharePoint / OneDrive
- Ability to learn and operate additional technology platforms used for daily operations, staffing, and wheelchair service management
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English clearly and professionally
- Must be reliable, consistent, punctual, and able to perform in a high-pressure environment
- Must reside within 25 to 30 minutes of RDU Airport
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Management, Operations, Healthcare Administration, Logistics, Aviation, or related field (recommended)
- Aviation / airport operations experience strongly preferred
- Experience managing multi-shift operations, high turnover environments, or service-based staff
- Strong understanding of workforce scheduling and logistics planning
