About the Role :

This entry-level position performs basic software development assignments within a specific software functional area or product line.

Responsibilities:
• Basic knowledge of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).

• Basic understanding of data modeling principles.

• Knowledge of data storage subsystems, Including ElasticSearch.

• Basic knowledge of applicable development languages including but not limited to: HPCCSystem’s ECL, Python, Java/J2EE, JavaScript, HTML.

• Knowledge of and previous experience with source control and development tools including Git source control systems, and Eclipse or Visual Studio Code.

• Knowledge of test-driven development.

• Ability and desire to learn new processes and technologies.

• Ability to work in both an independent and collaborative technical environment.

• Ability to effectively resolve issues/problems to reach a workable and successful solution.

• Basic oral and written communications skills.

Requirements:

• Write and review portions of detailed specifications for the development of system components of simple complexity.
• Complete simple bug fixes.
• Under the guidance of senior-level engineers, successfully implement development processes, coding best practices and code reviews.
• Operate in various development environments (Agile, Waterfall, etc.) while collaborating with key stakeholders.
• Resolve basic technical issues as necessary.
• Keep abreast of new technology developments.
• All other duties as assigned.

U.S. National Base Pay Range: $58,000 - $96,700. Geographic differentials may apply in some locations to better reflect local market rates. This job is eligible for an annual incentive bonus.
