Physician Assistant – Cardiothoracic Surgery/ Lung Transplant/Organ Procurement - Columbia Campus

NYP Physician Assistants provide the highest quality of care to our patients and their families. As dedicated clinical professionals with expanding responsibility, you’ll often hear PAs refer to New York-Presbyterian as a “PA-run institution.”

Our achievements in transplantation are a major example of our leadership focus and our ability to implement innovative new techniques with impressive survival rates. For example, the first three-way kidney transplant in New York City and the first combined heart-liver transplant in the New York region were at New York-Presbyterian. Our inpatient service team cares for pre, post-surgical and non-surgical patients. Together we continue to set global standards. You can Make It Possible. If you are eager to work with the best professionals in the field, supported by the best resources, we have an opportunity for a dedicated Physician Assistant to work on the inpatient lung transplant/organ procurement service.

Our Physician Assistants practice as part of a cohesive multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible care for our patients and their families. We are dedicated to your professional and personal development. You will be trained and become an integral member of the lung procurement team, assist with extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO), Ex-Vivo lung perfusion, and many other exciting aspects of caring for the lung transplant patient. Non-procurement responsibilities will include OR assisting and procedural work for the thoracic surgery service.
